Derk Bramer is a writer, editor, and designer with over six years of experience in the video game industry. His passion for storytelling and love of gaming inspires him to continually deliver narrative and technical excellence for localization powerhouses such as SEGA, Atlus, Nintendo, XSEED, Marvelous, and Pokémon.

Notable credits include: Pokemon Legends: Arceus, winner of “Nintendo Game of the Year” award at the Golden Joystick Awards 2022; Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, winner of the “Writing in a Comedy” award at the 2018 National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers Awards; Yakuza 0, nominated for the “Xbox Game of the Year” award at The Golden Joysticks Awards 2020; Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, nominated for the “Handheld Game of the Year” award at the 21st Annual D.I.C.E. Awards; and Valkyria Chronicles 4, nominated for the “Best Strategy Game” award at The Game Awards 2018.

Derk works and lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two daughters, where he is embarking on a new chapter of his journey as a video game localization editor for The Pokémon Company International.
