Tabletop: WJC

WIZARD JUNIOR COLLEGE

SAMPLE EPISODE:
This is a small sampling of the long-term narrative I wove for my players over the course of a weekly Pathfinder campaign that ran for 3 years. Wizard Junior College (WJC) followed a simple premise ("Magic School for Burnout Spellcasters") and gave the players a straightforward goal ("Get to Class"), but soon evolved into a high tale of fantasy shenanigans and schoolyard dramedy.

ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK:

Throughout the course of WJC, I instilled additional flavor into my world and its characters by writing and recording song parodies to highlight pivotal scenes in the plot. I thereby turned a tabletop roleplaying game into an interactive musical.

LEVEL DESIGN:

I created original maps in RPG Maker, then uploaded them to mesh with Roll20’s grid system. Adding in tokens, items, dynamic lighting points, and other environmental flourishes on the upper layers allowed me to craft a fully customized and highly immersive D&D experience for my players. Click through the gallery to view just a small sampling of the scenery, settings, and dungeons that turned an average campaign into an open world, video game-like experience.
