THE DREAMSCAST: GOLDEN AXE
PILOT EPISODE:
This is the result of an independent effort to create and deliver a project proposal for an actual play podcast celebrating classic SEGA IPs, presented by Atlus USA's localization team. Three of my coworkers acted as the Player Characters, while I assumed the role of the game-running Grand Master.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL:
To create a game uniquely suited to the setting, I streamlined and customized the conventions of D20 systems like D&D5E and Pathfinder into an original player's handbook with all the rules, stats, and character sheets needed to pick up and play a session of this tabletop RPG.
CHARACTER SHEET:
Throughout my experience running and playing TRPGs, I have observed that character creation can be a barrier to entry to new players. I therefore designed a sheet that channels the essence of popular D20 systems while minimizing the mathematical and mechanical workload.
